Biotin

Hello Folks
Had my band to Bypass nov 26th have been taking Biotin just before my OP
took out my braids  and i think my hair is very light lots of hair on the foor etc
just wonderd how much Biotin do you guys take i take two 1000pg  a day(well it looks like a P
not sure)  should i take more and is there anything else i could take along side Biotin
i know hair loss is side effect of WLS just wonderd if i could do anything to minimise it

im in London so the Biotin 1000pg might be different (like i said it looks like a P but dont think it is

Dont take them together, take one in the morning...and one in the afternoon.  Increase your protein intake, and you might want to also add zinc.

oh thank you, thought no one was going to reply will go out today and get some zinc, so i should not take both biotin tablets together????  thats very intresting, not sure there are enough hours in the day to take all my meds i take 1 omeprazole very early in the morning,  2 calsichew, 1 in the morning (not the same time as the omeprazole) and the other in the evening, i take  1 forceval tablet in between, and now now im adding zinc lol,

the Omeprazole, forceval and calcichew are all on presciption and i was told i would be on them for life.

I took biotin and still lost a ton of hair.  It did grow back though.

I upped my protein to 100g minimum and take four a day through out the day.  Its water soluable so overkill is not a problem. 

Hair loss lasted about four months but its growing back.  Although my hair thinned, I had no breakage.  It turned out what I thought was breakage was short hairs from new growth. 

My hair has been coming out for 2 months now.  Thank goodness to hear that it might be ending soon.
